One local path for the refrigerated truck body, reefer unit planning, service access, parts support, and Thermo King Edmonton temperature-control expertise.

Refrigerated Body Builds

Protect Your Load From Dock to Delivery.

A refrigerated truck body has to protect your load, fit your route, and keep refrigeration service access practical. TK Truck Body helps Edmonton and Alberta fleets plan the body, insulation, doors, flooring, lighting, liftgates, and reefer-unit fit alongside Thermo King Edmonton support.

How to Get Started
  1. Send the route and load details Share the chassis, body length, product type, temperature range, loading access, and refrigeration-unit needs.
  2. Plan the body and reefer together TK helps compare insulation, wall construction, doors, flooring, liftgates, refrigeration fit, and service access.
  3. Confirm pricing and next steps TK uses those details to quote the body package and coordinate the right refrigeration path with Thermo King Edmonton.

Refrigerated Bodies for Cold-Chain Delivery

TK Truck Body helps fleets build refrigerated truck bodies for cold-chain delivery work. Cold Star bodies can be configured around body size, construction material, flooring, lighting, bumpers, doors, insulation, liftgates, and the refrigeration equipment needed for the route.

Send TK the chassis, product type, temperature range, loading access, route profile, and reefer-unit needs. We will help shape the body and equipment package around the job, then connect the refrigeration plan with Thermo King Edmonton.

Cold Star Series Features

Aerodynamic front-end design and a heavy-duty plastic dormer move air and water away from your body, while folding steps and strategically positioned grab handles provide easy service-access to the refrigeration unit. Patented poly-tuff corners offer enhanced durability in areas that are often vulnerable to dents and dings that can allow air and water to infiltrate the cargo area.
Front End
Morgan's Cold Star refrigerated body subframe uses 12-inch on-center support placement, corrosion-resistant extruded steel 3" I-beam cross-members, 4" longrails, and Mylar tape between steel subframe components and aluminum lower bottom rails to help prevent corrosion.
Sub-Frame
Temperature differences inside and outside a refrigerated body make moisture a constant concern. Cold Star bodies include M-Guard undercoating for longrails and wheel pans, with optional full-body undercoating for added protection across the subframe.
Corrosion Protection
Morgan's refrigerated truck bodies use a poured-in-place polyurethane foam process across the floor. Inside the cargo area, corrosion-resistant aluminum floor options help manage water and condensate while supporting traction for daily loading work.
Floor & Insulation
Choose access options around how the crew loads and unloads every day. Cold Star options include a 5" structural bumper, step bumpers, drop steps, intermediate steps, under-ride bumpers, walk ramps, and liftgates at the rear or side.
Bumpers & Access
Standard refrigerated rear roll-up doors and full-perimeter thermal breaks help reduce passive heat transfer. Door options can include strip curtains, door sizes, door configurations, and door placement for loading access.
Rear Doors
Morgan's Cold Star roof uses a single piece of .032" crowned aluminum sheeting to reduce seams where water can infiltrate. Three inches of poured-in-place insulation helps maintain the refrigerated cargo area.
Roof
Lighting choices affect loading speed, driver safety, and visibility around the truck. Cold Star lighting options include dome lights, cab-mounted indicator switches, exterior sealed clearance lights, and custom lighting configurations.
Lighting
Match insulation to the product, route, and temperature range. Cold Star bodies include urethane foam across the front, floor, sides, and ceiling, with 4-inch and 5-inch insulation packages available for more demanding temperature-control applications.

Construction

Refrigerated Body Planning

  • Select insulation and wall construction around the product, temperature range, route length, and loading workflow.
  • Flooring, scuff, strip curtains, doors, liftgates, and ramps affect daily loading speed and temperature control.
  • Match the refrigeration unit to body size, service access, payload, route conditions, and chassis requirements.

One Stop for the Body and Reefer Unit

TK Truck Body is part of the same Thermo King Western group as Thermo King Edmonton, the officially recognized Thermo King units and parts dealer for Central and Northern Alberta. That gives refrigerated fleets a local path for the truck body, reefer unit planning, service access, parts, and support.

  • Plan the body size, insulation package, and reefer-unit fit together before quoting.
  • Review single-temperature, multi-temperature, diesel-powered, and direct-drive refrigeration paths with the right team involved early.
  • Keep service access, payload, loading workflow, and route conditions visible before final equipment selection.

Wall Construction Options

Affordability and lightweight are key considerations when selecting aluminum wall construction for your refrigerated box, straight-truck, or van body — because light weight adds up to reduced fuel consumption. This .040" corrosion-resistant aluminum skin stands the test of time for a better return on your investment.

Aluminum

Morgan Plate was designed and built with strength and versatility in mind. This proprietary material is made of a high-density polyethylene core bonded between two sheets of painted, high-strength, 80ksi yield, galvanized steel. Morgan Plate's clean, uninterrupted surface can support custom graphics.

Morgan Plate / Composite

Morgan's Fiberglass-Reinforced Plywood (FRP) walls consist of a 1/2" plywood core entirely encased in polyester resin reinforced with high-strength woven fiberglass. They deliver significant strength, impact resistance, and resistance to minor scratches and dents. The smooth exterior surface is also a great canvas for custom graphics and promoting your business. TK Truck Body offers custom paint and decal installation to minimize downtime.
